Hello!
MY NAME IS SAM
My name is Sam. At the age of 17 I left the family home in Crookwell NSW and moved to Newcastle NSW where I spent the next 4 years studying to become an art teacher. At the end of those fours years I gained a lot of life experience and learnt that I loved art but wasn't so keen on the teaching component. I spent the next couple of years doing the odd casual teaching day, getting married and struggling to find paid employment. Feeling frustrated I eventually decided it was time to head in a different direction. I returned to University for another four years to become a Social Worker. Twenty plus years later I still work as a Social Worker but my passion for art has not died. I have dabbled in painting over the years, selling the odd painting and I am often found with a camera around my neck. This year I have decided to get serious about my art and have ventured into the world of the dirty pour. I have found dirty pours both magical and scary at the same time. It can be hard to predict what will appear from my mix of colours but that is part of the process that keeps me fascinated . Please feel free to look through my art and if there is nothing that takes your eye you are welcome to put in a request for a commission piece.
